Facebook Messenger

Connecting your Facebook Page allows you to manage conversations from Messenger directly in your inbox. This ensures your customers can reach you in the most convenient way, while keeping all communications in one place and leveraging powerful automations.

What you’ll need

• Admin access to your Facebook Page: You must be the owner or administrator.
• Active Facebook account: Ensure your account is in good standing.
• Facebook Business Page: The page you want to connect must exist.
• Role verification: Minimum role required is Admin. To check your role: Go to your Facebook Page → Settings → Page roles.

Set up Facebook Messenger

Go to Chatbots → Your ChatBot → Actions → Integrations → Facebook and click Connect to start the integration.

This will open a window for Facebook authentication:

1. Facebook Authentication

   • If not logged in, enter your Facebook credentials.
   • If already logged in, select Continue as [Your Facebook Name].
   • Action: Click Continue to proceed.

2. Select Pages to Connect

   • You’ll see a list of all Facebook Pages you manage.
   • ⚠️ Only one page should be selected for optimal experience.
   • Action: Select your page and click Continue.
   • 

3. Review Access Permissions

   • Permissions requested include:
     • Manage and access Page conversations on Messenger.
     • Manage accounts, settings, and webhooks for your Page.
     • Show a list of pages you manage.
   • Action: Click Save to authorize permissions.
   • 

4. Connection Confirmation

   • You’ll see a message: “[Your Facebook Name] has been connected to [App Name]”
   • Action: Click Got it to return to the Integrations Dashboard.
   • 

5. Finalize Integration

   • If you selected a single page, it will be active immediately.
   • If multiple pages were selected, click Select Active Page, choose one, and click Activate.

Managing Your Integration

• Switch Active Pages
  • Navigate to Integrations Dashboard → Facebook Messenger → Click Change Active Page → Select page → Click Activate.
• Disconnecting Facebook Messenger
  • Navigate to Integrations Dashboard → Facebook Messenger → ⋮ menu → Disconnect → Confirm.

After Successful Integration

✅ Receive Messages: All incoming messages from your Facebook Page appear in our app.
✅ Send Messages: Reply to messages directly from our app.

Important Limitations:

• 24-Hour Messaging Window: Facebook only allows sending promotional or non-reply messages to users who messaged your Page within the last 24 hours via the API.
• Direct messages from the Facebook Page app are not restricted by this 24-hour rule.
