Options & Settings

Open the extension’s options page by clicking the icon in your Chrome toolbar and selecting Settings or by opening chrome-extension://[extension-id]/options.

General (Account)

The General tab shows your current account and AI access settings.

Account

• Email — Your Hilal account email (read-only)
• Log out — Sign out of the extension

AI Access

Configure which AI models and features are available.

Appearance

Choose your preferred theme and language.

• Display mode — Light, Dark, or System default
• Display language — English, French, Spanish, or German

Sidebar

Control how the sidepanel behaves.

• Auto-hide sidebar — Collapse the sidebar when not in use
• Show on hover — Expand the sidebar when you hover over it
• Remember position — Keep the sidebar in its last state when you close and reopen the extension

Context menu

Add right-click menu options for quick actions on web pages.

• Enable context menu — Turn the right-click menu on or off
• Keyboard shortcut — Set a custom shortcut for the context menu (e.g., Alt+Shift+H)
• Show icons — Display icons next to menu items

Web assistant

Adjust the appearance of the AI assistant widget on web pages.

• Enable web assistant — Turn the floating assistant on or off
• Assistant position — Choose where the widget appears: Top Left, Top Right, Bottom Left, or Bottom Right
• Assistant size — Adjust the widget’s size with a slider

Keyboard shortcuts

View and manage keyboard shortcuts for common actions. The following shortcuts are currently available (display only; customization coming soon):

• Toggle sidebar — Alt+S
• Open assistant — Alt+A
• Quick translate — Alt+T
• Capture screenshot — Alt+Shift+S

Auto-save

Options are saved automatically to your local browser storage. They are not synced across devices.
