A

ASIN
Amazon Standard Identification Number. A unique code for every product on Amazon (e.g., B08N5WRWNW). Used to identify and analyze products.

Appearance
Settings for how the extension looks: Display mode (Light / Dark / System) and Display language, under Options → General.

B

Brand
The company or seller name for a product on Amazon. Detected automatically by the extension.

BSR
Best Seller Rank. Amazon’s ranking of how a product is selling in its category. Lower BSR = better sales.

C

Chat
Multi-turn conversation with AI. Unlike Ask (one question), Chat remembers previous messages for follow-up questions.

Chatbot
An AI assistant trained for specific tasks or knowledge. You can select which chatbot to use for Ask and Chat.

Chrome Web Store
Google’s official app store for Chrome extensions. Where you install Amazon Product Insights.

Context menu
The menu that appears when you right-click on a page. The extension adds options like “Add to Knowledge Base”.

Cookies
Small data files stored by websites. Used here to remember your Hilal login session.

D

Document
A file uploaded to the extension (PDF, Word, text, etc.) for AI to analyze.

E

Extension
A small software add-on for Chrome that adds new features to your browser. Amazon Product Insights is an extension.

F

FAB
Floating Action Button. A button that appears in a fixed position (usually bottom-right) on a page.

Feature
A capability or tool in the extension (e.g., Ask, Product Analytics, Knowledge Base).

Glossary
This document. A reference of terms and definitions.

H

Hilal account
Your login for Hilalsoftware (Amazon seller tools) or Hilal Chatbot. Same account works for the extension.

I

Image
A photo, screenshot, or diagram uploaded to the extension for AI visual analysis.

K

Knowledge Base
Your personal library of documents, websites, and videos indexed for AI to reference during conversations.

Keyboard shortcut
A keyboard combination (e.g., Ctrl+Shift+Y) that triggers an action (e.g., open/close the sidepanel).

L

LAS
Listing Authority Score (in NicheRadar). A 0–100 rating of how well-optimized a product’s listing is.

Link
A URL pasted into the extension for AI to analyze the web page’s content.

M

Manifest
The configuration file for an extension. Defines permissions, version, and settings.

Marketplace
A regional Amazon site (e.g., amazon.com = US, amazon.co.uk = UK). The extension supports 20 marketplaces.

MVI
Market Viability Index (in NicheRadar). A 1–10 score indicating how viable a niche is for selling.

N

NicheRadar
Market research overlay on Amazon pages. Shows brand, marketplace, product count, and advanced analytics (coming soon).

Notification
An alert or message from your Hilal account displayed in the extension.

O

Options page
Settings page for the extension. Accessed via right-click on the icon → Options.

Organization
A business account in Hilal. Users can be in multiple organizations and switch between them.

P

Permissions
Access privileges the extension asks from you to function (e.g., read cookies, inject on pages, show context menu).

Product Analysis
Tab in the sidepanel that shows product analysis views (Review Analysis, Listing Optimization, Review Download) for Amazon products.

Profile
Your account information in the extension. Shows email, organization, and sign-out option.

Prompt
A custom instruction for AI (e.g., “Summarize in bullet points” or “Write in professional tone”).

Right-click menu
See Context menu.

S

SERP
Search Engine Results Page. On Amazon, a page showing multiple products in search results.

Session
Your logged-in state. A session expires after about 7 days of inactivity.

Settings
Configuration options for the extension (theme, shortcuts, AI access, etc.).

Shadow DOM
A browser feature that isolates code and styles. Used by on-page overlays for security.

Sidepanel
The right panel in your browser that opens when you click the extension icon. Contains Ask, Chat, and other tabs.

Sign in / Sign out
Log into or out of your Hilal account. Sign-in uses your existing hilalsoftware.tools credentials.

T

TLD
Top-Level Domain. The last part of a URL (e.g., .com, .co.uk). The extension supports 20 Amazon TLDs.

Toggle
A switch you click to turn a feature on/off.

U

Upload
Add a file, website, or video to the knowledge base.

V

View
A display or screen showing specific information (e.g., “Review Analysis” is a view in Product Analytics).

W

Web assistant
Settings for how the extension analyzes pages you visit and suggests features.

Widget
A small UI component, often injected into pages. The Product Analytics widget shows on Amazon product pages.
