AI notes

AI Notes is a notebook with an AI co-pilot. Write meeting notes, brainstorm a campaign, jot down a vendor call — and the AI summarizes, extracts action items, and lets you link the note to the part of your business it concerns.

In this guide:

  • Create a note
  • Use AI to summarize and extract actions
  • Link a note to a SKU, campaign, or order
  • Search across notes

Step 1: Create a note

Go to AI → Notes and click New note.

The editor is a clean rich-text surface. The AI side panel sits to the right.

Step 2: Use AI to summarize and extract actions

After you’ve written some content, click in the AI panel:

  • Summarize — produces a short summary.
  • Extract action items — pulls out tasks, with owners and dates if you mentioned them.
  • Rewrite for clarity — cleans up your shorthand into prose.
  • Translate — useful for vendor notes in other languages.

The AI’s output appears in the panel; you can insert any block back into the note.

Step 3: Link a note to a SKU, campaign, or order

Notes are most useful when they’re connected to the rest of your data. Click Link in the toolbar:

  • SKU — appears on the SKU’s detail page in Inventory.
  • Campaign — appears on the campaign’s detail page in Advertising.
  • Order — appears on the order’s detail page.
  • Vendor — appears on the vendor’s profile.

A note can link to multiple objects.

Step 4: Search across notes

The Notes home shows all your notes with full-text search. The search also reads linked-object data, so searching “WIDGET-A” finds notes linked to that SKU.

Troubleshooting

  • Action items are weak. AI extracts what you wrote — if the note says “we should think about it sometime”, the action will be vague. Write actions as imperative sentences for best extraction.
  • Notes don’t appear on linked SKU page. Refresh the SKU detail page; linking is asynchronous.
  • Audio / voice input? Not yet supported in-app, but you can paste a transcript and use Rewrite for clarity.
