Analytics & trends
The Analytics & trends view is the dashboard’s deeper-dive companion. It’s where you go when the four KPI tiles aren’t enough — when you want to compare this month against last month at the SKU level, or look at how a single campaign is performing across regions.
In this guide:
- Open the analytics view
- Compare periods
- Break down by SKU, campaign, or marketplace
- Save a chart configuration
Prerequisites
- Your Amazon Seller and (optionally) Ads accounts are connected.
- At least 30 days of data ideally — period comparisons get more useful with more history.
Step 1: Open the analytics view
From the dashboard, click Analytics in the deeper-cards row, or use the sidebar shortcut Dashboard → Analytics.
The page has three zones:
- Filter bar — date range, comparison mode, marketplace, dimension.
- Chart area — line/bar/stacked-area depending on the selected dimension.
- Breakdown table — the same data, by row, sortable.
Step 2: Compare periods
In the filter bar, set the Comparison mode:
- None — show only the selected period.
- Previous period — overlay the equally-long period directly before.
- Same period last year — overlay the same period 12 months ago.
- Custom — pick a second range manually.
Comparison adds a second line to the chart, dotted, and a delta column to the breakdown table.
Step 3: Break down by SKU, campaign, or marketplace
The Dimension dropdown changes what the table groups by:
| Dimension | Use it when |
|---|---|
| None (totals) | You want one row per period; just trends, no breakdown. |
| SKU | You want top-revenue or top-profit SKUs. |
| Marketplace | You want to compare regional performance. |
| Campaign | You want PPC campaign performance side by side. |
| Brand | (If you’ve tagged SKUs with brand) revenue by brand. |
The chart updates to a stacked area for SKU/Campaign breakdowns, and a side-by-side bar chart for Marketplace.
Step 4: Save a chart configuration
The configurations you’ll come back to (e.g., “30-day SKU profit broken down by marketplace, vs same period last year”) can be saved as named views. Click Save view in the top-right; the saved views appear in a dropdown next to it.
Saved views are per-user, not per-organization — your Admin doesn’t see your saved views.
Troubleshooting
- Chart is empty for some marketplaces. That marketplace either isn’t ticked under Settings → Marketplaces or has no data for the selected dimension/period.
- “Comparison disabled” for Same period last year. You haven’t been on Hilal that long. Pick a shorter base period.
- Numbers don’t match the dashboard’s KPI tiles. Check the date range. The dashboard tiles default to last 7 days; the analytics view defaults to last 30 days.
