Billing and subscriptions

This page is the Hilal-side finances — your own subscription, add-ons, and invoices for using Hilal. (For Amazon-side finances, see P&L and revenue reports and Amazon fee analyzer.)

In this guide:

  • Open billing

  • Download invoices

Step 1: Open billing

Go to Finances → Billing & subscriptions (or Settings → Subscriptions & add-ons — same page).

The page shows:

  • Current plan — Free / Basic / Premium / Enterprise.
  • Renewal date and amount.
  • Add-ons — what you’ve stacked on top.
  • Usage — live numbers vs allowances (members, AI tokens, marketplaces, storage).
  • Recent invoices.

Step 2: Change your plan

Click Change plan. The plan picker shows the four tiers side by side.

  • Upgrade — takes effect immediately, pro-rated for the current cycle.
  • Downgrade — takes effect at the end of the current cycle. Hilal warns you about features that will be lost.

Confirm. Hilal updates your subscription via the payment provider.

Step 3: Buy or cancel add-ons

The add-ons section lists every available top-up: extra AI usage, extra members, extra marketplaces, advanced analytics, etc.

  • Buy — adds to your next invoice. Effective immediately.
  • Cancel — runs through end of cycle, doesn’t renew.

Step 4: Update your payment method

Click Update payment method. The card-input form is hosted by your payment provider (so Hilal never sees your card number). Add a new card, optionally make it the default; old cards can be removed.

Step 5: Download invoices

The Invoices tab shows every invoice issued for your Hilal subscription, downloadable as PDF. Each invoice has the line items, taxes (if applicable), and a paid/unpaid status.

Set a billing email under Settings → Organization → Billing email to receive invoice PDFs automatically each cycle.

Cancel your subscription

To cancel: Change plan → Cancel subscription. The org goes read-only at the end of the current cycle. Re-subscribe any time without losing data.

Troubleshooting

  • Card declined. Update the payment method. Hilal retries 3 times over 7 days before suspending.
  • Invoice shows wrong tax / VAT. Update your billing address under Settings → Organization. Tax is calculated based on the billing-address country.
  • Cancellation didn’t take effect. Cancellations are end-of-cycle, not immediate. The org continues to work until then.
