Search history and re-run
Hilal keeps a running history of every search you’ve run. The history is the audit trail of your research — what you searched, when, and what came back. Useful for tracking decisions over time and for re-running searches against fresh data.
In this guide:
- Open history
- Re-fetch a past search (free)
- Re-run with fresh data (1 credit)
- Soft-delete a search
Step 1: Open history
From the Product Research home, click History in the sidebar.
The list is paginated, newest first. Each row:
| Column | What |
|---|---|
| Created | When the search ran. |
| Mode | standard today; deep (AutoSearch) when that ships. |
| Entry mode | guided or chat. |
| Marketplace | The Amazon region. |
| Keyword / category | What you searched. |
| Result count | How many products returned. |
| Top score | The highest SellerScore. |
| Data quality | The overall data-quality rating for the search. |
| Credits charged | What it cost. |
Step 2: Re-fetch a past search
Click any history row → the results render exactly as they did at the moment of search. Free — no credits charged.
This is the right path when:
- You want to remember what you saw.
- You need to share a past search with a teammate or accountant.
- You’re checking a decision against the data that informed it.
The search snapshot doesn’t drift; the numbers you see are frozen. (To get fresh numbers, re-run.)
Step 3: Re-run with fresh data
On a re-fetched search, click Re-run in the top-right.
Hilal:
- Reuses the original parameters (you can edit before submitting).
- Charges 1 credit.
- Creates a new search entry in history (separate UUID).
- Returns fresh metrics.
Useful when:
- A few weeks have passed and you want to see whether a niche has changed.
- A specific product’s BSR you saw was suspicious; fresh data may resolve it.
- You’re tuning weights or filters and want to compare runs side by side (the original stays in history; the new run is a separate entry).
Step 4: Soft-delete a search
Click the ⋯ menu on any history row → Delete. The search and its products are soft-deleted. They no longer appear in the list and aren’t returned by re-fetch.
Soft-deleted ≠ gone forever — Hilal retains them for a short window before hard deletion (in case you change your mind). To purge immediately, see Deleting your data.
Filter the history
Top of the list, two quick filters:
- Mode —
all/standard(will gaindeepwhen AutoSearch ships). - Date range — last 7 days / 30 days / 90 days / custom.
For more nuanced filtering, sort the list and scroll.
