Search history and re-run
Hilal keeps a running history of every search you’ve run. The history is your audit trail — what you searched, when, and the results you got back.
In this guide:
- Open history
- View a past search
- Re-fetch (free) vs. re-run with fresh data (1 credit)
- Delete a search
- Filter by mode (Standard or Deep Search)
Open history
From Product Research, click the History tab.
The list shows newest searches first. Each row indicates:
- Keywords and summary of the search
- Product count in the results
- Mode — Standard or Deep Search
- Date when the search ran
View a past search
Click any history row to open the detail view. The results render exactly as they were at the moment of search — a frozen snapshot.
Re-fetch vs. re-run
Re-fetch (Standard searches only)
On a Standard search detail view, the snapshot is read-only. Free — no credits charged.
Use this to:
- Remember what you found.
- Share past research with teammates.
- Verify what data informed a past decision.
The snapshot doesn’t change; you see the exact numbers from the original search.
Re-run (Standard searches only)
On a Standard search detail view, click the Re-run button (top right).
Hilal:
- Reuses your original search parameters.
- Charges 1 credit.
- Returns fresh, current metrics.
- Creates a new history entry (the original stays in your history).
Use this to:
- Check if a market has changed since you last looked.
- Verify if suspicious data (e.g., a low BSR) still holds.
- Compare old vs. new results side by side.
Deep Search sessions cannot be re-run or re-fetched. The converged results are a snapshot at the moment Deep Search finished. To start a new iteration, go to the Deep Search tab and create a new session.
Delete a search
Standard searches: Open a search detail, then click the trash icon (top right) to delete it. The search is deleted immediately and no longer appears in your history.
Deep Search sessions: Deep Search sessions cannot be individually deleted. To manage your history, contact support.
Filter by mode
At the top of the history list, use the filters:
- Show Standard — Display only standard searches.
- Show Deep Search — Display only Deep Search sessions.
