Organization

Your organization is the top-level container that owns everything in Hilal. The settings here are organization-wide — they affect every member.

In this guide:

  • Open organization settings
  • Edit name and logo
  • Set billing address
  • Transfer ownership
  • Delete the organization

Step 1: Open organization settings

Go to Settings → Organization.

Step 2: Edit name and logo

  • Organization name — appears in the org switcher, on invoices, and in some places customers see (depending on which integrations you’ve enabled).
  • Logo — uploaded via Cloudinary; appears at the top of the sidebar and on PDF exports.
  • Slug (read-only) — the URL identifier; can be changed via support if you need to.

Save. Most changes are instant; logo changes can take a minute to propagate to PDF exports.

Step 3: Set billing address

The billing address is used:

  • On Hilal invoices for your subscription.
  • On vendor PO PDFs as your “ship to” address (unless overridden in the warehouse address).
  • For tax calculations on your Hilal subscription (VAT in the EU, etc.).

Fill in line 1, line 2, city, region/state, postal code, and country.

Step 4: Transfer ownership

Only the Owner can transfer ownership. Click Transfer ownership and pick a teammate (must be an active member; their role becomes Owner, your role becomes Admin).

Hilal asks for password re-confirmation. The transfer is immediate.

Step 5: Delete the organization

Only the Owner can delete. Settings → Organization → Delete organization. Hilal:

  • Asks you to type the organization name.
  • Cancels the subscription at end of cycle.
  • Schedules data deletion for 30 days later (you can recover during that window).

After 30 days, all org-scoped data is unrecoverable.

Troubleshooting

  • Can’t transfer ownership — “user not eligible”. Target user is not an active member, or has a pending invitation. Have them log in once first.
  • Billing email not receiving invoices. Check Settings → Organization → Billing email. It defaults to the Owner’s email.
  • Logo not appearing on PDFs. Cache may need clearing — wait a few minutes, regenerate the PDF.
