Profile and theme
Your profile in the mobile app is a thin layer over your Hilal Auth profile. Changes here propagate to the web product where applicable.
In this guide:
- Open Settings → Profile
- Update your avatar
- Change display name
- Switch theme
Step 1: Open Settings → Profile
Tap Settings in the bottom tabs → Profile.
Step 2: Avatar
Tap your avatar → Choose photo to upload from your photo library, or Take photo to use the camera. The image uploads to Cloudinary; appears across the app within seconds.
To remove your avatar, tap → Remove. You’ll fall back to initials.
Step 3: Display name
Tap your name → edit. Display name is what teammates and customers see in mentions and the customer-profile sidebar.
Note: changing display name on mobile changes it everywhere (web, Chrome extension, mobile). Hilal Auth is the source of truth.
Step 4: Theme
Toggle Dark mode in Profile → Theme.
The change is immediate. Theme persists across sessions; it’s per-user (your teammates can pick differently).
The app does not auto-follow the OS theme today — pick light or dark and it stays. Auto-following the OS is on the roadmap.
Other profile fields
The other fields (email, phone, password, two-factor) are managed on the web at Hilal Auth → Profile. The mobile app deep-links to the web for those.
